My experience
I worked in travel and tourism abroad before I entered the counselling world. I have a lot of life experiences that help my work as a counsellor.
I have been practicising as a person centred counsellor and psychotherapist for 29 years, and have worked with clients from different races, with a broad range of issues, with complex needs.
I have worked in the NHS for two healthcare trusts for 21 years offering individual therapy and couples therapy. I run a women's health counselling service within the NHS, offering counselling to individuals and couples who have experienced pregnancy loss, traumatic birth, and infertility. I have worked in another NHS service with victims of torture, the homeless, drug users and people with alcohol addictions. I have also worked in the voluntary sector with the london lighthouse working with people with HIV, and also with Women and girls network, with women who are sexually, emotionally and physically abused. I also worked at Forest house as a senior counsellor. I also work with Employee Assistance Programmes.
I have worked as a person centred supervisor for bereavement counsellors, at Lewisham bereavement counselling, sexual abuse counsellors at the Rape and sexual abuse support centre, and Forest house, offering group supervision, and at Off centre and Woman's Trust offering individual supervision.
